Last week, on the eve of World Malaria Day, the Government ofIndia hosted the Asia PacificLeaders’ Conclave on Malaria Elimination in partnership with APLMA. Governmentleaders and international experts reiteratedtheir commitment to intensify action towards eliminating malaria by 2030. Thisrecommitment – paired with the energy from global partners on World MalariaDay and the recent updates from our Leaders’Dashboard – makes us optimisticthat together we can make malaria elimination a reality.

The latest Leaders’Dashboard 2022 showed most countries in Asia Pacific sustained progress despitethe second year of the COVID-19 pandemic, reporting a 2.5% drop in malariacases between 2020 and 2021.
