Located between Southeast Asia and the South Pacific, Timor-Leste is part of the WHO E2025 initiative.

Timor-Leste is currently among the countries with zero indigenous P. falciparum and P. vivax cases, which they have maintained since 2021, making them well on track for malaria-free certification by WHO.
