In partnership with the Asia Pacific Leaders Malaria Alliance (APLMA), the Republic of Indonesia is proud to host the 9th Asia Pacific Leaders’ Summit on Malaria Elimination. The summit will take place from 16 to 17 June 2025 in the beautiful city of Bali.

The two-day event will serve as an essential platform to reinforce commitments towards malaria elimination, exchange effective strategies, and rally support from partner nations and global institutions to accelerate initiatives in the region.

This year’s Summit will be graced by the attendance of His Excellency, Former President Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono, Special Advisor to APLMA, and His Excellency Budi Gunadi Sadikin, Minister of Health of Indonesia. The event will bring together health ministers from the region, senior officials, experts, civil society representatives, and global partners to foster robust multi-sectoral partnerships.

These collaborations aim to tackle challenges related to cross-border issues and financing gaps while strategizing innovative solutions to overcome them. This prestigious event also provides a unique opportunity to showcase the achievements, innovative approaches, and progress made by countries in their quest to eliminate malaria. Additionally, the Summit will foster collaboration with neighboring countries and global stakeholders, strengthening partnerships in health, research, and financing. It further offers a platform for countries to advocate for increased funding and technical support for their national malaria programs.
